Note: A friend sent me these & said they were sold to them as A. taiwanense, which you can see, they are certainly not. This inflorescence is born alone & without a leaf. The leafed plants bear a small knob near the base of the petiole. (Sent: Arisaema-l@nic.surfnet.nl)

- the leaves are usually late after the fower is up
that knob is typical of ternatas
