Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: The soft, salmon-pink color of A. barnebyi is a joy to behold. It grows to about 24 inches tall in my garden and its long, slender stems seem to keep the lovely flowers in a constant bobbing motion. I have sited one specimen in a sunny, dry area and a second one in a shadier, moister location and both perform equally well. (Sent: Alpine-l@nic.surfnet.nl) (Click on the picture to enlarge) |
