Photographer: Graham Nicholls Note: During our bad 2010/2011 winter I lost Campanula 'Blythe Spirit' the lovely white seedling from the C. 'Maie Blythe' parent. However it did set a lot of seed which was sown early spring. Seedlings grew pretty quick and this is the first of them to bloom & as you can see it is quite tall with blue flowers. However two others have just bloomed both having white flowers. One is about the same size as the blue flowered one but the other is much smaller. I eagerly await the flowering of others in the batch, some are quite small. You can see the C. carpatica influence on the parent and in the original Maie Blythe (Sent: Alpine-l@science.uu.nl) (Click on the picture to enlarge) |
