Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: Here is Fairy Primrose in a garden setting. I noticed some of the wild plants liked to grow on the north-facing slope of Hoosier Ridge where the ground is still very wet when they bloom in late June so I planted this seedling in my artificial bog garden. It's been happily growing there for 5 years. The bog is naturally wetter in spring, just like the late snowbeds on Hoosier Ridge. Later, the soil dries out but never becomes bone-dry and hard.
