Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: This small Senecio is common in our lodgepole pine forest. Growing in harsh conditions of low light, little water and few nutrients, it produces just a few flowers per plant in the wild. But when grown in a sunny garden, it produces many happy, yellow flowers beginning in early June. (Sent: Alpine-l@nic.surfnet.nl) (Click on the picture to enlarge) |
