Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: Allium caeruleum stands between 12 and 16 inches tall in flower in my garden. It's easy to grow from purchased bulbs planted in fall. It does best in full sun in a lean, well-drained soil. It flowers at my elevation in early to mid-August. (Sent: Alpine-l@nic.surfnet.nl) (Click on the picture to enlarge) |
