2716 - AlpenPix (Wild) - 2010-11-29 (Dimension: 2318 x 1762 pixels - Counter: 4950) Geum rossi Locality: USA - Colorado - East side of Hoosier Pass, Summit County, Colorado, elevation 11,900 feet. Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: Geum rossi is the dominant species in the lower alpine region of the east side of Hoosier Pass. It looks like a good candidate for a rock garden but it is a rampant grower both in the wild and under cultivation and its beauty is best admired in a wild garden with lots of aggressive competition.
