Photographer: Jane Hendrix Note: Prince's Plume is in the Mustard Family (Brassicaceae). Depending on the fertility of the soil, it stands from 12 inches to 4 feet and blooms in mid-May in this area. It is often an indicator of selenium-rich soils in which it is able to grow with impunity. It can be a striking addition to a background of taller plants or a wildflower garden.
