Aechmea emmerichiae

(Uploaded as: Aechmea emmerichiae)
Locality: Shanghai - China -
Photographer: Ping Li
Note: I used to be very sure that it is A. emmerichiae. But when I checked it with the description, I was confused again. The most obviously differrence is the Primary bracts, saying linear-lanceolate, apically acute, exceeding the lowermost branches but shorter than the upper branches, but the plant I have is not longer than the branch at all (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
Identification: Solved
- Note (13543): Derek Butcher (2018-02-06) - We in Australia also have problems with the Gravisia complex. Have a look at the photo from Tropiflora nursery that has close links with Selby Gardens
Derek (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Note (13543): Ping Li (2018-02-07) - Thanks a lot, Mr. Butcher, all these two different plant came from Tropiflora many years ago. I will keep on checking.
