- Identification: Bruce Dunstan (2014-08-08) =Guzmania verecunda?
(Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note: Peter Tristram (2014-08-08) - Another description thin on detail! Looks like the BSI Journal pic of verucunda. I have a plant from Jeff just budding labelled verucunda too so can compare. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note: Jeffrey Kent (2014-08-08) - Guz. (Mezobromelia??) verecunda. I received this plant years ago from Harry with this name. I also have a red clone from Ecuador as well. It's self fertile at least in my greenhouse. I do not know enough about the seeds to make a determination as to the genus. Genetic studies need to be made. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note: Peter Tristram (2014-08-09) - Yes Jeff, and like T schimperiana too that Bruce also posted photos of. Phylogenetic work on these under described species will be interesting.
