Tillandsia tenuifolia
(Uploaded as: Tillandsia unknown)
Locality: Argentina - Jujuy - Reyes, in wet forest.
Photographer: Andrew Flower
Note: first generation wild-collected seed in 2001. Looks to me like T. tenuifolia var. disticha, although S&D list only Brazil for that taxon. ? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
Identification: Solved
- Note (11691): Uncle Derek (2014-07-13) - As good a name as any. I assume that posterior sepals were high connate. Remember that Leme's T. candida was distichous too (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Identification (11691): Uwe (2014-07-14) =Tillandsia tenuifolia
- T. tenuifolia for the lumpers and T. pulchella for the splitters ... (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note (11691): Eric Gouda (2014-07-14) - This is not really distichous, but most of these few-flowering T.tenuifolias dry distichous
