- Opmerking (5392): Peter Tristram (2010-01-22) - Hi Steven, I added 2 more images from the same area, with closer detail - not sure if anyone's seen them. Maybe someone can comment regarding longicuspis and setigera. Peter (Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
- Opmerking (5392): Steven Heathcote (2010-01-22) - Peter, it seems A setigera has a pendulous inflorescence (illustrated in the Flora Neotropica and on the TROPICOS website) whereas A longicuspis infl is erect. Other differences listed in the FN are scape bracts (setigera = bright red, longicuspis = rose) and the plant size (setigera = 1 to 3m, longicuspis = 0.6m). Based on this I think the plant is more likely to be A longicuspis.
