Nidularium innocentii var. innocentii

(Geladen als: Nidularium )
Verzamel locatie: US - ? - it came to me as Nidularium innocentii v. nana. imported from US
Fotograaf: Allan Ladd
Opmerking: Is any one aware of the name of this hybrid of Nidularium innocentii? it came to me as Nidularium innocentii v. nana.
This plant only grows to approx., 2/3 size of the more common Nidularium innocentii & has a very large red inflorescence compared to the common form, as well as having much darker purpe foliage than Nidularium innocentii?

- Opmerking: Geoff Lawn (2011-06-04) - This cultivar named 'Nana' is not a hybrid but a small, dark-leaved species form of N. innocentii var. innocentii, according to the BSI's online Bromeliad Cultivar Register. 'Nana' was named by the late Florida grower Ervin Wurthmann before 1978. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
