- Opmerking: Bill Holliday (2011-02-06) - I thought this might be T. supermexicana, it is very common in the Sierra Juarez, in Oaxaca. The plant is much larger, and the inflorescence are more narrow and elongated than the plant in Jalisco. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking: Gabriel Cruz Ruiz (2011-10-10) - This bromeliad is Tillandsia calothyrsus, along with her this Tillandsia usneoides and Tillandsia prodigiosa (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Determinatie: Eric Gouda (2011-10-11) =Tillandsia calothyrsus
- Not always with that long primary bracts, but we have seen a similar plant photographed by Alex Riemes(+) on fcbs.org
