Locality: Colombia - Cundinamarca - Up the hill from Villeta towards Bogota, about ~1200m, in T. fendleri territory.

- Add Note (11727): Peter Tristram (2014-08-05) - Thanks Uwe, both my initial thoughts too though the angustifolia is very different looking to what we know as it here and I didn't know mexicana grows in Colombia but I suppose if it grows in Panama and Ecuador then likely Colombia too! We saw angustifolia-looking plants in a few other locations but not as big as this form. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

- I agree with Uwe, this is Aechmea angustifolia and the third image does not fit here, so that is why it has been split from these two
