Locality: Ecuador - Obtained from Ecuagenera, sold as Guzmania melinonis (I don't think so).

- Jerry, yes I think your identification is right. It seems to be quite a large plant and the upright inflorescence looks like some selection work, but remyi it is. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11708): Matthias Asmuss (2014-08-05) - I agree with Eric that I also do not know G. remyi with upright inflorescence, but the rest seems to match. Unfortunately this species has quite a short flowering time. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
