- Probably Deuterocohnia meziana. Certainly not Tillandsia that never has spines on the leaf margins :-) (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
- Add Note: Dutch Vandervort (2010-11-02) - Eric - This plant -- #6126 looks very much like puya I generally find Deuterocohnias to have more succulent leaves. Maybe we need a living specimen and a key -- and a flower!
6127 is distinctly different in that I can see no marginal or terminal spines, leaves are thin and apparently not very succulent. I suspect it is Tillandsia or perhaps even Vriesia.
Again a flower would help! (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl) - Identification: Eric Gouda (2010-11-02) =Puya spec.
- Dutch, you are right, I did not noticed the inflorescence in the lower right corner. It looks like a Puya infl. and not at all like D.meziana. (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
- Add Note: Dutch Vandervort (2010-11-02) - Now it is my turn to be wrong - As my eyes have now woken up I can see spineson the margins and the spent flower is very puya!
