- Looks to be more close to Tillandsia jaliscomonticola (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note: Walter Till (2016-12-14) - Tillandsia jaliscomonticola should have a mostly simple inflorescence which is longer. This plant is rather T. compressa, a much more widespread species

@Bruce: Are you referring to plants grown by Carla? Those are still a bit different with a more compact and more intensely red inflorescence. Magnificent indeed! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Identification (12912): Matthias Asmuss (2016-12-15) =Ti fasciculata 'Magnificient'
- Ti fasciculata 'Magnificient' bought at Tropiflora, cultivated also by me, looks all the same as Rob's plant. Ti jaliscomonticola has often a simple inflorescence, the spike is much thicker and the floral bracts are at least bicolored: the lower ones reddish, in between yellow and the upper ones greenish (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
