- Identification: Walter Till (2018-07-14) =Tillandsia bifloa "Albino"
- This is obviously an albino form of Tillandsia biflora. Have it never seen before
- Identification: Laura Ospina (2018-07-15) =Tillandsia biflora "Albino"
- Add Note: Uncle Derek (2018-07-15) - Regrettably this is an illegitimate name. Agreed, it seems to be a white petalled form of T. bicolor which would probably not get status under the ICN rules. If it is being cultivated it may be worth giving it a proper name like place of discovery and register this in the Bromeliad Cultivar Register (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note: Laura Ospina (2018-07-16) - Could one say it is a Tillandsia biflora var. alba? It is not cultivated. Found in the wild.
- Add Note: Walter Till (2018-07-16) - A var. alba has to be formally described. Why not submit a short paper to J. Bromeliad Soc.?
- Identification: E.J.Gouda (2018-07-19) =Tillandsia biflora
- A albino form is not uncommon in this species and could be described as a variety if you deposit a type specimen in a herbarium (the type specimen is red maculate). There are images of the albino form the Encyclopaedia, click the e icon above. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
