- Add Note (11722): Peter Tristram (2014-08-04) - I think most likely the true A. servitensis. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11724): Eric Gouda (2014-08-04) - Again a very interesting plant! I don't think this can be Aechmea servitensis, or it must be a hybrid with it. Spikes are far to dense for the species, that use to have the flowers remote. Those Amazonian Aechmea (chantini like) can be very confusing, also because they hybridize a lot. - Add Note (11724): Peter Tristram (2014-08-05) - This is in the Rio Magdalena valley away from the Amazon catchment. The description for servitensis is old but many characteristics still match - infl shape, branching, prim bracts, flowers. Also I see that it is recorded from this area (Guaduas). Pity there was no ripe seed. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11724): Jeffrey Kent (2014-08-05) - Looks like Ae. servitensis to me. Widespread species with obvious variability. I collected a plant of this near Macoa in 1981. Looked identical to this. Birds do spread seeds a long way! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11722): Peter Tristram (2014-08-06) - aff. servitensis? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
