Guzmania condorensis
Locality: Ecuador - Unknown - Obtained from Ecuagenera as Guzmania condorensis. I have no other information on this. Is this a correct name? Grows same size as Guzmania madasonii, but inflorescence is different (see Guz madasonii inflorescence also included in pictures -- identified by HEL for me). Bloom spike to 43cm tall.
Photographer: Jerry Raack
Note: Inflorescence of Guzmania condorensis

- Add Note (11163): Eric Gouda (2013-10-25) - Yes the name is right: Guzmania condorensis H.Luther Nordic Journal of Botany 12(2): 220-221 (fig.2) (1992)
I have not seen it in the wild, but at Ecuagenera I saw the plant. It is from Ecuador, Prov. Zamora-Chinchipe, Cordillera del Condor, ca 1200 m alt. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Identification (11163): Jeffrey Kent (2013-11-11) =Unamed natural hybrid
- This is NOT G. condorensis from Condor mountains, but a natural hybrid which I collected many years ago.
The seedling grex from this group was quite variable. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
