- Add Note (15434): E.J.Gouda (2018-08-29) - Vriesea, maybe a hybrid, post an image when it flowers
- Add Note (15434): Laura Ospina (2018-08-30) - I am told this does not open much more than this. In Colombia it is informally known as "snake head" for that reason. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Identification (15434): Eric Gouda (2018-08-30) =Vriesea 'Valetta'
- Check #10448
- Identification (15434): Franz Gruber (2018-08-30) =Vriesea Komet HEINZ Pinckert
- One of The First Hybrids of H. Pinkert with V. corcovadensis, see also #9903 (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (15434): Uncle Derek (2018-08-31) - Lots of reading in the BCR under Komet. Yes Pinckert hybridised extensively in this area but never registered any of his creations. The same applies to 'Valetta' I call them NN for nomen nudum or Nurseryman's name or nickname. The question I ask is how do you reccgnise a plant if it as not been formally recorded (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
