- Identification: Walter Till (2014-10-08) =Tillandsia krukoffiana var. piepenbringii
- This image corresponds very well with the one in J Bromeliad Soc 36(6): 258 (1968)
- Note: Peter Tristram (2014-11-03) - Walter, this plant looks very much like what Lotte sells as krukoffiana. Its leaves are twice the width of the one around the States that I obtained from Selby in 1988 (as a hair pup). I haven't bloomed Lotte's form yet and some are as large as many Alcantarea now. I also have obtained at least 3 other forms of what are likely to be krukoffiana, in Germany, all under other names.
