13605 - Bromeliads (Wild) - 2018-02-14 (Dimension: 2030 x 1550 pixels - Counter: 10192) Tillandsia naundorffiae (Uploaded as: Tillandsia bongarana?) Locality: Ecuador, Zamora Province - S03 57' 32.9" w79 01' 06.3" on old road from Loja to Zamora, province of Zamora at an elevation of approximately 1350 meters Photographer: Jerry Raack Note: I also found this on the road from Los Encuentros into the Condor at about 1600 meters elevation (last picture posted). All plants grew epiphytically in the trees in rather large clumps. Size: approximately 30 to 35cm wide by 45 cm tall with inflorescence. Very beautiful mottled foliage. This is what I THOUGHT was T. bongarana, but based on Dr. Till's identification of plant 6766, I now believe this must be something else. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl) Identification: solved (Click on the picture to enlarge)
