- Note: Walter Till (2018-08-02) - T. (V.) penduliscapa as described by Rauh has a much longer peduncle, much longer inflorescence, flower bracts are distinctly lepidote at the apex and petals are lemon yellow.
However, nobody knows the variability of the characters of this species (ever re-collected?) and it is possible that your plant falls into the applicable conception. Considering you have illustrated a cultvated plant makes it more likely to me.
Conclusion: T. cf. penduliscapa - Note (15375): Niek Hoebe (2018-08-03) - Did anyone compare this plant with (formerly Vriesea)T. limonensis? I presume the bracts feel soft?
Our T. limonensis looks very similar, but doesn't branch in it's inflorescence. I once saw a similar plant at Kent's place that had several branches. I presume the branching is part of the natural variation.
