(Click on the picture to enlarge)
- Identification: Bill Holliday (2011-07-02) =Tillandsia portillae
- It could be this species, was it found in or near Loja?
- Identification: Eric Gouda (2011-07-12) =Tillandsia aff porphyrocraspeda
- It could be Tillandsia porphyrocraspeda (=Vriesea cylindrica ), but this is a very confusing group with Tillandsia (Vriesea) tequendamae (polyform from very small to very large plants with hanging or upright inflorescences). (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Identification: HEL (2011-07-18) =Vriesea(Tillandsia s.s) sp. nov
- Looks like the plant collected by H.Takizawa, can be red or yellow. Closest to T. portillae. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note: Eric Gouda (2011-07-18) - I think the Takizawa specimen has a shorter infl. with yellow primary bracts, it can be seen on a picture in Die Bromelie 2011(2): 76 in the T.rupicola (Ona) area. I will look for the picture and load it to the Gallery later (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
