Note: Thanks Eric, finally got a decent flower on it, and tried you key as suggested. !a spikes are up to 2DM long, floral bracts 40mm = 2a floral bracts hardly nerved or beaked = 3 where I feel faint: how flat is complanate? spike with to depth ratios are from 2/1 to 2.5/1,if that is "strongly complanate we go to 4 where the spikes are erect = var. fasciculata, or if it is "slightly complanate we go to var. convexispica which is not ilustrated or detailed anywhere in the Encyclopedia! Derek, I'll open the can of worms after I hear back from Eric! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

  • Note (15687): E.J.Gouda (2019-02-27) - Hi Andrew:
It would be interesting to try the identification key of the encyclopaedia. All newly described T.fasciculata related species are included there. It is a difficult complex. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
  • Note (15687): Derek Butcher (2019-02-28) - T. compressa sensu Gardner(Now Sill) from this locality is a bag of worms. I have sent historical detail to Andrew (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
