Note: Obtained from Eloise Beach who got it from Grant Groves. I've had it since June of 2001. Size: 40" tall. Flowers: 2.5" long

- Identification (11825): Uwe (2014-10-22) =Billbergia zebrina vel hybr.
- The plant on the images belongs to subgenus Helicodea. B. fosteriana is in subgenus Billbergia. Billbergia brasiliensis is in Helicodea, but has blue petals. See images of these species on this site. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

- Note (11831): Alexander Linde (2017-08-03) - Possibly B. jandebrabanderi: similar to B. porteana with hourglass-shaped white ovaries but without black cusps, has got short triangular foral bracts and, a special stigma only known to me with 3 billbergia - blue/violet sepals.
