Billbergia tessmannii

Locality: Peru -
Photographer: Peter Tristram
Note: Obtained from Jeff Kent. Huge plant, well over 1.2 m in height. Seems to have features of both stenopetala and tessmannii so expert opinion sought. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
Identification: pending

- Note: Graeme Barclay (2018-10-18) - Pete, is that red bract in the flower photo the primary bract or the floral bract ? It's hard to see clearly in the photos.
If floral, then it doesn't seem to fit the Helicodea key, with floral bract much longer than the ovary and equalling the sepals ? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
