- Note (10558): Peter Tristram (2012-11-25) - The leaves are about 4 m long with reverse spines.
- Identification (10558): Walter Till (2012-11-26) =Bromelia epiphytica
- Inflorescence should be densely brown lepidote. The sepals of the imaged plant seem to be glabrous or pale lepidote at most. However, the inflorescence is like in the type!
