- Note (12040): Jerry Raack (2015-03-01) - I saw this myself in Ecuador in 1997, and I believe this is Puya pygmaea (see pgs 296-298 of Manzanare's book Part II Pitcairnioideae. Blooming 20 to 30cm tall (8 to 12"). Beautiful flowers!
