Opmerking: Herb Plever suggested that someone on this list might know this plant material? I believe it is not Puya lineata which I observed also but this species is flowering totally erect at about 1 foot tall. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

- Opmerking (12041): Jerry Raack (2015-03-01) - I saw this myself in Ecuador in 1997, and I believe this is Puya pygmaea (see pgs 296-298 of Manzanare's book Part II Pitcairnioideae. Blooming 20 to 30cm tall (8 to 12"). Beautiful flowers!
