- Opmerking (11731): Peter Tristram (2014-08-05) - I got this plant from "KNIZE"
Therefore from Peru (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Opmerking (11730): Uncle Derek (2014-08-05) - I would look towards T. secunda because that seems to be the way the flowers are heading and the petal colour links (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Determinatie (11730): Matthias Asmuss (2014-08-05) =Tillandsia secunda
- Inflorescence of 1m in T. secunda is quite normal, here we have a specimen with elongated leaves. Flower matches. Once I had a specimen producing about 50 to 60 pups in the inflorescence. And one or two capsules opened showing seed. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking (11730): Peter Tristram (2014-08-06) - Pendant secunda? I think it's not secunda. Flowers also/better?? match the T. rauhi, teres, etc group. Secunda has 'straight' flowers arranged laxly and secundly whereas this plant has loosely, distichously arranged bracts and curving flowers. DNA analysis would be interesting - rauhii clade? More discussion certainly welcome. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
