						  - typical of caulescent higher elev type in S. Ecuador. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Opmerking (6436): Matthias Asmuss (2011-03-08) - and the id for the second pic ? (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

						  - This matches the coastal lowland type in Ecuador that is usually an epiphyte, often on telephone wires. There seems to be a cline N to S, high to low with floral bract covering, ie; dense around Guayaquil, glabrous around Cuenca. HEL ps not sure what happens in Peru.
